Highways Technician jobs and vacancies available across the UK: As a Highway Technician you are likely to be working in a government agency such as a London Borough or the Highway Agency, or an engineering consultancy that provides services for a government agency such as Mott MacDonald, Atkins or Mouchel Parkman. As a Highway technician you will generally support the highways and bridge design teams on a diverse range of major and minor projects. A knowledge of detailing, bar scheduling and highway layouts is required. ONC/HND qualified, you will also need strong IT and AutoCAD skills, as well as an ability and desire to work on a diverse range of projects, communicating with others about project objectives and details.
