A Health and Safety Manager is responsible for the health & safety, adherence to H&S regulations, legislations and codes of practice and regularly reviews, coordinates and implements safety policies and procedures throughout a company. The Health and Safety Manager deals with writing and maintaining health and safety policy and procedure, carrying out risk assessments, giving advice on precautions and control measures, ensuring work equipment is properly maintained and monitoring health and safety standards on all construction sites.
For success in this profession you will need to have a minimum of 2 years experience working on construction projects as a Health and Safety Manager or Health and Safety Advisor. You should be in possession of formally recognized Health and Safety qualifications.
