RC Detailing is a specialist area within the Structural CAD Technician discipline and worthy of a separate mention due to the demand for it.

RC Detailers are Structural CAD Technicians that use either AutoCAD or Microstation with an add on such as CADSRC. They design and detail the reinforced concrete rods throughout columns and pilings that support building and civil structures. Due to the complexity and level of training required, RC Detailers are able to command a slightly higher wage/rate than a Technician without this skill.
