Customer Service Officer Jobs

Customer service officer jobs and vacancies are available across the UK. As a Customer Service Officer you will work within a Local Authority or Housing Association.  You daily tasks may include assisting in answering and dealing with telephone calls, registering housing applications, sending correspondence, Liaising with the housing office with information of re-housing schedules, booking appointments for visits, booking removals and keeping the ledger for payments up to date (for acquisitions, homeless, demo costs etc).

As a Customer Service Officer is an entry-level housing job more and more employers are willing to consider applicants with relevant transferable skills. For example, for a housing job that involves working in a call centre dealing with tenants repair requests, clients will consider applicants from people with non-housing call centre based experience. Employers are mainly looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to deal with individuals in a customer-focused manner and deal with complaints in a professional and calm manner.
