As a Social Work Assistant you will work alongside Qualified Social Workers on teams based in the community, hospitals and private sector. Working as a Social Work Assistant you will assist the Qualified Social Workers to furnish counselling and referral services to older people, people with physical and/or learning disabilities, people with mental health issues, the homeless, families under stress and children in need of care and protection. Your role may include handling intake inquiries, home visits, maintaining files, interacting with referral agencies and putting together care packages.
To be considered for this position you should possess a minimum of an NVQ level 2 Health and Social Care and have at least 12 months experience in a social care setting.
