Unit manager jobs & Home manager jobs and vacancies available across the UK: A Unit Manger or Home Manager usually works within a residential or Day care setting.  A Home manager is responsible for the daily management of residential establishments, which provide care for many different client groups, including: children at risk, adults with learning or mental disabilities and frail or unwell elderly people.  The type of care offered will vary according to residents' needs but may include nursing, psychiatric or social work support. The manager is responsible for the welfare of the home's clients and for ensuring appropriate standards are maintained.

Your responsibilities will include supervision of staff, staff rota’s, full compliance with National Care Standards, recruiting staff, budgeting and providing innovative solutions to care provision within the service. Most Managers will have extensive experience with the client group concerned and hold a Degree in a care related subject or an NVQ4 Registered Managers Award.
