Deputy Home Manager

ˇTo deputise for the Home Manager in their absence.

ˇTo support the development and delivery of the Business Plan, assisting with controlling expenditure, marketing the home, and maintaining occupancy.

ˇTo assist in the smooth operation of the home in accordance with Anchor's policies, the National Care Standards, and other legislation directly affecting the home and its residents.

ˇTo support the maintenance of agreed income and expenditure levels.

ˇTo work with the Senior Team to ensure effective recruitment, supervision, and training of staff in accordance with Anchor's Equal Opportunities and other Human Resources policies.

ˇTo be responsible for the effective delivery of the home's rota ensuring adequate staffing levels in accordance with NCSC standards.

ˇTo ensure the home's fixtures, fittings and décor are kept well maintained, supervising repairs and purchases as required, providing a safe and secure environment for residents.

ˇTo assist the Home Manager to comply with Health & Safety legislation and Anchor's policies.

ˇTo be involved in the internal quality assessment/verification process, travelling to other homes as required.

ˇTo act as NVQ assessor/verifier as required.

ˇTo attend regional meetings as required.

ˇTo undertake and deliver induction and other training, as required by Anchor, and follow the guidance received.

ˇTo maintain confidentiality in accordance with Anchor's procedures.

ˇTo undertake on-call and/or _sleep-in_ duties as required.

ˇTo delegate appropriate areas of work.

Care Delivery

ˇTo support the effective implementation of the care planning and delivery process, ensuring all National Care Standards and Anchor standards are met.

ˇTo be responsible for the delivery of social activity within the home, and ensuring residents are able to participate in chosen activities in their local community.

ˇTo maintain high standards of care practice, and report any incidences of suspected poor practice or abuse in line with Anchor's Rights and Responsibilities.

Customer Focus

ˇTo assist in the design, development and delivery of the service based on customer needs and expectations.

ˇTo promote a positive professional image by effective communication within the home and with external agencies.

ˇTo respond to complaints in line with procedure as required.

ˇTo maintain the home as a pleasant, friendly and secure place to live
