CSV creates opportunities for people to take an active part in the life of their community.
As the UK’s leading volunteer and training organisation, with a 40 year history of social action, CSV has a wealth of experience for creating opportunities for people to work together to make a positive impact on their community. Every year CSV forges new partnerships with other organisations, businesses, communities and individuals from a national to a local level. We combine our experience and expertise with theirs to help children reach and exceed their potential, reclaim community spaces, and offer opportunities for offenders to find a new future away from crime. Projects we have worked on are helping to restore people’s hope and build confidence in their ability to change their environment and their future. CSV has an impressive record of responding to government initiatives and working with both government and community partners. Over the last year, CSV has empowered over 195,000 volunteers to transform their communities, and helped 15,000 learners fulfil their potential. Throughout 2005, CSV is spearheading the government’s Year of the Volunteer initiative in partnership with Volunteering England and the Home Office, to celebrate the wonderful work of volunteers and encourage even more people to get involved.
