| "The desire to go on my OE (Overseas Experience) as a young twenty-something was high on my agenda after some years of work experience here in NZ. The NDY London office provided a great opportunity to work and live in a large dynamic city on the doorstep of Europe. Initially my focus was to work for the purpose of travelling - the office management supported this and as such holiday leave was never an issue. My initial 2-year "working holiday" visa was close to expiring so NDY organised a work permit for me to stay. |
As my time in the UK continued it became apparent that the work environment was also very interesting and exciting. The London market and wider European market provides a wide variety of project types and sizes. This along with its mix of local staff plus young Kiwi and Aussie Engineers made it a friendly and very social place to work. The office culture also set very high standards of competence and service - through this I learnt a great deal from my peers and was challenged throughout my time there.After deciding that I should leave London, NDY offered me a work opportunity here in Wellington. In addition to this they covered my relocation costs and generally made the move as easy as possible. My experiences in London have provided me with much confidence to operate at a higher level in the Wellington office. Also many of my old work colleagues in London now reside across Australia and this has further enhanced my ability to call on technical help. The Wellington office also has a number of British and staff of other nationalities - we too have sought to accommodate the needs of these individuals including work permits where required For any potential employee, NDY can offer a great "international experience" through flexible working arrangements across the globe." · Return economy airfare for Employee, Partner and where applicable – children
· Temporary serviced accommodation in City of arrival for Employee and family for a period of up to 6 weeks
