Our client is one of the leading independent air conditioning design, installation and maintenance specialists in the South of England. They have been established for 14 years, showing year on year financial growth, with a multi million pound turnover. They have an excellent opportunity for a Building Services Consultant to join their team in Thatcham.
Building Services Consultant - Responsibilities:
To work with the main contractor to carry out the liaison role, pre-contracts design, design development, production of a basic scheme design and cost plan breakdown for pricing by others) and produce a comprehensive design to enable the installation of new services generally as below:
*Air Conditioning (DX, VRF and 4-pipe FCU systems), VAV etc
*Supply and extract ventilation including heat recovery systems
*LTHW systems including boiler system design and associated components
*Water treatment
*Domestic hot and cold water systems
*Environmental power, lighting and control systems
*Prevalidation & Commissioning services
*Rainwater pipework systems ad above ground drainage
You will be expected to meet the full requirements of the main contractor which will include on time preparation of reports, complete client presentation of proposals, assistance in the production of contract cost plans, survey report sheets and associated project information.
You must be able to demonstrate your experience of working on commercial projects for contractors, including liaising with our own engineers and sub-contractors. All correspondence MUST be recorded in the correct file on our server.
The scope may also, at times, include preparation of procurement specifications and management of the required teams of sub-contractors to effect the installations and complete the works within construction programme.
You will also need to be conversant with AutoCAD and able to assist our CAD engineers to produce scheme drawings.
Salary & Benefits
£40,000 - £45,000
20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Christmas Period
8am - 5:30pm
