Electrical Project Manager / Engineer - Local Authority

This dynamic public sector client is looking to bring on board an experienced electrical project manager (technical officer) to work within the asset management team looking after and managing the electrical works for cyclical maintenance and installation programmes.

You will be tasked with:

1) Providing technical advice and guidance to ensure compliance with legislative and statutory requirements.

2) Assist with the identification and development of all assets including domestic housing, communal areas, high rise blocks, sheltered accommodation, commercial installations and external clients and other LBC departments.

Job Description

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise contractors, consultants and programmes of work, carrying out inspections to ensure compliance with specification of works.

Ensure works meet all relevant Electrical and Health and Safety Regulations, recording all instances of non-compliance.

Issue works orders / rectification notices to contractors to ensure that works are completed to specification and approved standards.

Person Specification

Demonstrable experience of working in an electrical maintenance and installation environment.

Personal Attributes
Proactive work ethic Ability to work on own initiative

Special Conditions
Valid driving license
