Role Overview:
They are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Building Services team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of mechanical systems for large commercial and industrial buildings, including both new constructions and refurbishments. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual looking to advance their career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake detailed mechanical design work for building services projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and schedules in line with project requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys to assess project requirements and constraints.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design to construction and commissioning.
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and suppliers to discuss project specifications and progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering within the building services sector.
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design tools.
- Sound knowledge of building regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., CIBSE, ASHRAE).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
