Lead Safety Adviser - part time role.

Part time role, Lead Safety Advisor required 2 days per week. (15) hours.
Through the provision of competent, proactive and comprehensive safety services, take all reasonable steps in enabling the safety, health and welfare of employees and health and safety of others who may be affected by the clients
undertaking. The services may also be provided to other employers and external organisations through trading or other such arrangements.
1 Develop and deliver a strategic approach for health and safety in support of the Services purpose.
2. Have the responsibility to line manage professional staff within Safety Services including establishing priorities, directing the use of resources effectively and efficiently to deliver service objectives, managing performance, supporting staff development and resolving work related issues.
3. Act as client lead to ensure the needs of the customers are met. This includes establishing relationships, identifying needs and priorities at a strategic level, ensuring the delivery and standards of service delivery and matching resource to requirements.
4. Provide advice, support and guidance in respect of health and safety legislation and safe working practices and champion health, safety and welfare so as to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, policy and good practice.
Able to develop a strategy, leading and implementing change and driving improvements.
Excellent working knowledge and understanding of health and safety related issues including legislation, approved codes of practice and effective health and safety management best practice.
NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
Hold or working towards the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
