Job description

Large local authority in the Cambridgeshire area are looking for a Principle Surveyors for an initial three month contract.

There are 3 positions delivering a full range of planned building works associated with City Council properties. Each post holder will be allocated to a primary workstream (with appropriate resources) but will be expected to carry out a full range of similar duties in all workstreams as service priorities demand.

Job Purpose
To be responsible for managing and motivating your team to ensure effective delivery of customer focussed services on time and within budget.

To lead a small team responsible for the effective management of a portfolio of all types of property maintenance and construction services provided by Estates & Facilities including both directly managed housing stock, leasehold properties and all types of general fund commercial or administrative properties as may be required from time to time.

To assist in the development and formulation of maintenance investment programmes and budgets and to be accountable for the specification and delivery of approved programmes and the effective management, surveying and administration of projects and commercially contracted works.

To assist the Asset Manager in the delivery of corporate objectives, maintaining statutory requirements and developing all aspects of best practice in service delivery.
