Lead Commercial Manager Hertfordshire 65k to 70k
A great new opportunity to join the this leading FM & Built Environment business working with team within the South, to be based out of the Hemel Hempstead office.
About the role
The Lead Commercial Manager FM supports the development of commercial solutions and processes to ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlement. Management of the Commercial Team and negotiation / liaison within the wider FM organisation on all commercial matters. They will analyse existing contracts for risks and opportunities, develop risk management strategies and timely prepare internal commercial reports. In addition, the Lead Commercial Manager will support the negotiations of terms and conditions of contracts with clients, major subcontract partners and suppliers.
Other duties the Lead Commercial Manager will take responsibility for, includes the compliance with the contract payment mechanism and liabilities as well as close liaison with finance, legal, estimating and procurement to ensure all commercial issues are managed in current contracts, new bid opportunities, re-negotiation of existing contracts together with the demobilisation of terminated contracts.
Who are they looking for?
- Qualification in Commercial Management /Quantity Surveying. Ideally RICS qualified to MRICS level.
- Successful work experience as a Commercial Manager for at least 15 years.
- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/ budgeting processes
- Excellent commercial awareness coupled with a strategic mind-set
- Competent knowledge of IT packages and ideally working with SAP
- Excellent organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent people management skills
- Ability to understand and work to the company values
