Job description

Are you looking to work in a rapidly growing industry within an exciting company who have won multiple awards for architectural and social design? They are a very energetic, dynamic and design led practice that recognises the importance of the team and its client's needs for their projects to be tangibly successful. This has led to increases in contract values across a variety of project types, from high-end hotels in London, to urban funky student accommodation and interior design.

My client undertakes medium scale projects (£5m-£10m) as well as exquisite interior design projects. They have been concentrating on developing systems, processes and skills to enable operation in the £15m - £30m contract value range. They aim to be an AJ100 listed company in the next few years and are about to open another office in London and to that end seek a very senior Director level Architect with Gravitas who has strong experience of designing and delivering £20m+ projects under a range of contracts.

Ideally there should be strong education sector experience within a multitude of frameworks. As business development and management planning will be a key element of the role, tangible experience of this will be essential. Having a comprehensive understanding of the planning process and constraints is another important aspect of the role. Whilst this is a strategic development position, it is important the successful candidate is an advanced user of Revit and CAD software packages. As an emerging practice, there will be requirements to produce drawings, oversee a multitude of projects consecutively as well as support staff training.

The ideal candidate will come from an AJ100 practice and will have direct experience of managing a large team as well as being able to confidently undertake strategic business planning. There is a very strong emphasis on the team well-being and the office environment. It is imperative that the successful candidate has excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, solutions-driven outlook. Each and every client is extremely valued. As such, this role will be pivotal in supporting the client's needs and ensuring every single project is as successful as humanly possible. If you can see this in yourself, then you may be exactly what our client are looking for to take their company forward.

Successful applicants can expect a salary of £40000-50000, possibly more for a candidate with gravitas plus many other benefits including a luxury company car and many other tailored benefits.

If you think you may be interested, or know anybody that might be (referrals of £250 to you for any person successfully placed) please don't hesitate to send your CV across to e.birtwistle@edenbrown.com or call 0161 233 1600 and ask for Elliot
