Job description

Our client is a leading regional construction company located in Derbyshire. Due to an increased work load and continued success and growth of the business they are seeking a Contracts Manager to run schemes across the Midlands.

Their region has a current turner over of between £40-£50M. Schemes that they deliver include new build within leisure, further education, extra care, healthcare and blue light. Schemes can vary between £2 - £10M.

Contracts Manager

Responsibilities:-

- Ensuring delivery of Safety, Quality, Environmental, Security & Health (SQESH) performance in accordance with company policy
- Being proactively involved in developing project delivery strategies
- Managing expectations for project delivery
- Ensuring project delivery against agreed project performance targets
- Reviewing project performance to ensure early identification of variances and the need for corrective action
- Ensure compliance with Company Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health procedures.
- Defining, maintaining and monitoring project specific procedures and quality assurance plans
- Providing project reporting and forecasting against the project programmes
- Reviewing and implementing project delivery strategies that meet company objectives, and recommending revisions to achieve project expectations
- Establishing and managing the budget for project delivery
- Responding to customer feedback
- Being proactively involved in developing project delivery strategies

Education, skills and experience:-

- Ideally you will have a Degree in Construction Management (or equivalent)
- A proven track record in a project delivery role within new build, fit out or refurbishment Demonstrable a proven track record and background in construction delivering projects on site and on budget.
- Excellent written, communication and organisational skills and excellent oral, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent team working skills including being able to rapidly engage with a team
