Job description

JOB PURPOSE: To carry out all repairs to a high standard, following the relevant company processes and procedures. To ensure that the service is delivered offering high levels of customer service To work safely and efficiently to help achieve value for money within the team Operational Responsibilities. To undertake, without direct and constant supervision, repairs and maintenance work on Company properties, as required, to a high standard. Manage own workloads and use initiative to resolve any issues where able.2. Carry out pre-inspections where required to ensure appropriate time and materials allocated to the repair. To complete multi-trade repairs in line with the multi-skilling criteria required for this role.4. To manage workloads in an efficient way to maximise productivity and reduce downtime.5. To complete work as detailed on works orders to specified standards and within specified timescales, ensuring that appointments are met. 6. To communicate with customers in accordance with our customer care policy. 7. Minimise follow on work ensure that the correct materials are available for the job Customer Service. To communicate effectively with customers specifically a. Ringing customers directly if late for appointments or when changing / moving appointments. b. Advise what work you have completed and where further work is requiredc. Check that the customer is satisfied with the repair completed. Leave a calling card where the customer is not in attendance. Leave calling card stating external repairs complete when customer not in.2. Ensure that high levels of customer service are delivered at all times using the principles of Passionate About Customers training.City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent in Joinery Full DrivingLicence EXPERIENCE:Experience of working in the building industry Knowledge of Health & Safety in the work place and safe working practices Experience of working within Social Housing and/or a repairs/property maintenance environment Experience of working in a customer focused environment to provide high levels of customer care Experience of multi-skilling in other trades including, plumbing, plastering and general building.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Ability to work using your own initiative prioritising workloads, meeting deadlines and implementing effective repairs solutions Able to work well as part of a team Ability to use a range of IT equipment, specifically PDAs, mobile phones Ability to carry out multi-skilling in other trades in line with the criteria of the role
