Job description

Our client is looking for an intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team, based in Manchester.

Our client is a leading independent, multi-professional consultancy practice working within the property, infrastructure and construction industry. Delivered through 11 UK offices, the firm employs nearly 500 staff and has operated for over 150 years within the UK property market.

About the role:

Working as part of the cost management team on a range of projects in the North-West, predominately for clients in the Infrastructure / Civils sector (Roads, Highways, utilities), this role provides an exciting opportunity to develop within a dynamic team supported by a medium-sized multi-disciplinary consultancy with 11 offices across the UK.

About you:

Ideally you will have:


- Min. 3 years' experience of cost management of Infrastructure projects from feasibility/option studies through to detailed cost planning and post contract cost management
- Experience in consultancy environment - highly desirable
- Good knowledge of Value Engineering and Risk Management techniques
- Understanding of the principal standard forms of building contracts including JCT and NEC3
- Relevant degree (accredited by RICS)
