Job description

Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with Rail experience, to be based in Birmingham. Our client is one of the UKs largest multifaceted consultancies, delivering property and infrastructure projects on a local, national and international scale.

The Role:

The Quantity Surveyor will be required to provide post-contract commercial management of high value/risk activity as well as to support pre-contract activity within the project delivery teams scope of work. Providing specialist commercial advice, guidance and recommendations to mitigate commercial risks.

The Infrastructure Rail team has an excellent reputation as specialist consultants in the disciplines of Commercial and Project Management. The team has a record of delivering innovative solutions for leading edge projects within the UK.

Experience:

Essential:

- Ideally 4 years experience in commercial management role on infrastructure projects
- Demonstrable relevant experience of managing Target Cost Contracts
- Good understanding of railway and construction industry forms of contract
- Good understanding of the construction/railway industry
- Good negotiation skills
- 2 years experience of working with Network Rail

Desirable:

- Educated to degree standard in related subject
- Membership of a relevant professional institute, chartered status
- Awareness of industry issues
- Demonstrable relevant experience of managing NEC suite of contracts

Package:

Salary: Neg (depending upon experience).
