Job description

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to be based in Manchester (Walkden). As the Project Manager, you will be given responsibility for major construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:-

You will be responsible for completing delegated Project Management tasks associated with the project lifecycle.

- Liaising with various aspects of the project team, including external consultants, contractors, associated internal/and stakeholders.
- Build effective relationships and communicate effectively with all associated stakeholders in the moist appropriate manner to deliver delegated tasks.
- Carry out general NEC ECC related tasks and support. Including coordinating training and tracking Project reviews
- Review tender documents from external sources
- Assist in helping the Senior Project Manager in contract disputes and adjudications
- Assisting on day to day interface support with property Management team.
- Communicate Project related matters with the Property Management & Construction team.
- Liaise with the site NEC supervisors to understand site progress and issues that require discussion with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare Project agendas, taking of meeting minutes, writing letters, reports and presentations.

Essential skills:

- Working towards or achieved RICS status
- Appropriate academic qualification to degree level
- Track record of experience within the Construction industry.
- Positive commitment to personal training and development including continuous professional development
- Good Knowledge of CDM in relation to client duties
- Knowledge of the purpose of a permit to work system and application
- Experience of delivering or assisting in delivery of refurbishment projects
- Understanding of design stages and the project lifecycle
- Working knowledge of the NEC Form of Contracts
- Working Knowledge of Project collaboration systems
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations

Desirable skills:
- Industry recognised Project Management qualification
