Job description

An Assistant Project Manager is required for a Universitys Capital Projects team, consisting of circa 10 Capital Project Managers who deliver Projects from a Masterplan with values from £4m and above.
As they embark on a £1billion, ten year masterplan, the first phase of the plan is an Engineering Campus Development, which is the single, largest construction project undertaken by any higher education institution in the UK. The project involves demolition, refurbishment, utilities, new build, fit out, moves of specialist equipment and people.
You will provide project management support for the Capital Projects team (Project Director, 2 Project managers, Assistant Project manager). The post-holder will act as the central point of contact for team administration and be responsible for coordination of meetings, events and workshops. They will be assigned specific Project tasks and will use their own initiative and motivation working within the University and with external companies to deliver them.
The role would suit a fresh graduate looking to develop in Project Management and offers a unique opportunity for someone to work on a flagship scheme.
