Job description

Our client, a leading provider of property and consultancy services across public and private sectors are looking for a Building Surveyor to join their team.

They are seeking a Building Surveyor with approx. 2 - 4 years experience to work across a variety of projects in the North West of England based within their Preston office. Our client is a diverse multidisciplinary consultancy working the Education, Health, Commercial and local government sectors.

The work involved in the role will be a varied mix of professional surveying, project management and contract work. The role will involve:

- Building Surveying Services
- Construction Project Design & Delivery
- Project & Cost Management
- Statutory Compliance Audits & Surveys
- Property Estates Strategies & Feasibility Studies
- Capital Maintenance Strategies and Feasibility Studies
- Property Development & Funding Advice

Skills & Experience:

- Degree qualified within building surveying
- Working towards MRICS
- Minimum 2 years experience within a commercial, educational or health sector Building Surveying environment
- Experience working in a client focused environment
- working closely with clients, updating clients on progress, while taking personal responsibility in dealing with clients and striving to exceed their expectations
- Ability to manage personal workload
- A strategic thinker with broad problem solving skills
- Able to work on own initiative
- Strong communication skills with experience working in a client focused environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to get involved
