Job description

We are recruiting for a Building Maintenance/Caretaker available for an immediate start. You will work as part of the property management team based at an office block in Birmingham City Centre This is a permanent position, 40 hours a week, office hours, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm PPMs including generator testing/ fire and sprinkler testing. Ensure the effectiveness of all plant, equipment and fabric to deliver the required Customer Service and Operational Standards. Complete regular building standard checks and inspections. To undertake reactive maintenance and planned duties as required within set service level agreement whilst ensuring that health & safety obligations are met. To undertake reactive tasks for our customers, ensuring that work standards are high and tasks are completed on time. To maintain the customer areas within our buildings to a high standard whilst having a focus on building security Responsibilities - Deal with all facilities enquiries and problems for our customers. Monitor and oversee contractors on site, ensuring work areas are clean, Working at height (e.g. changing light bulbs, clearing guttering) and some lifting may be required Respond to emergency situations (e.g. evacuation, alarm activations, accidents) as part of the property call-out team Stock control and maintaining cleanliness of work area and workshop. Maintain high standards of presentation around the entrance to the building and all common parts including lifts, toilets and corridors Open and lock up of buildings where required
