Job description

Our client is looking for a Caretaker to undertake responsibility for the provision of caretaking services at the school. In so doing ensuring these are provided to a consistently high and professional standard.

To support the facilities management team in achieving the requirements of the Project Agreement and service obligations.

Role specific accountabilities:

The role includes but is not exclusive to

1. Opening and closing of site (subject to shift pattern).
2. Undertaking of general portering tasks required by the school.
3. Receipt and distribution of materials.
4. Reactive cleaning.
5. Day to day cleaning of specific areas only.
6. Set up and clearing of dining areas (subject to shift pattern).
7. Daily site inspection.
8. Litter picking and leaf sweeping.
9. Gritting and Snow clearing.
10. Undertake minor maintenance tasks and inspections.
11. Support technicians by carrying out routine checks on emergency and safety systems (e.g. fire alarm testing).
12. Provide attendance in the event of an emergency during core hours and provide support as required.
13. Facilitate the access of contractors on site.
14. Contribution to best value and Ousted inspections.

Enhanced DBS required before working on-site.
