Senior Quantity Surveyor
East Midlands
New Build Residential Housing
£55,000 to £65,000

A top 20 UK house builder is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the East Midlands. An incredible opportunity to join a well-known developer, with a strong land and work pipeline.

Successful candidates will have the relevant experience and skillset to oversee a; 300+ plot, multi-phase development

Reporting into the Managing Surveyor, the successful candidate will be responsible for all commercial and contractual aspects of projects/partnerships. To maintain profitability and positive cash position of all projects. Developing and maintaining client relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

Pricing projects to agreed timescales & margins in conjunction with other team members.

Collation & preparation of suitable resource procurement schedule

Evaluation of sub-contract prices

Chairing Sub contractor post tender & pre order meetings

Drafting subcontractor orders

Financial management of subcontractors up to and including agreement of final accounts

Resolving any disputes with subcontractors.

Development of and monitoring accurate cost to complete and final account forecasts

Timely & accurate production of cost and value reports

Accurate valuation & payment of subcontractors

Valuation & payment of directly employed team.

Skills, Qualifications And Experience

At least 5 years' experience within a Housing Quantity Surveying role

Qualified to degree level in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial degree in construction

RICS Membership preferred

Highly computer literate with an understanding of accounting packages

Proven Experience on new build housing and refurbishment projects

Full valid driving licence
