Job description


Job Purpose
1.To lead and manage the Gas Service ensuring that all aspects of the service are delivered in line with Gas Safety Regulations, good practice and the gas contract.
2. Ensure all work is carried out to the correct standard and within the current gas safety regulations, to be 100% compliant with the gas servicing.
3. Facilitate a customer centred culture, promoting excellent communication and continuous improvement in the service.
4. Managing all repairs, servicing and maintenance activities for gas, mechanical and electrical services
5. Able to demonstrate examples of managing teams/contractors
Main Duties
1. You will need practical experience of managing gas and have a detailed understanding of best practice in the delivery of annual gas safety records
2. Managing and planning all aspects of operational delivery including Health & Safety management/planning and organizing labour resources and material allocations.
3. Manage Direct Labour and or Sub-Contractors/Agency ensuring compliance or H&S, Quality and standards are maintained
4. To monitor job costings across all gas and electrical related contracts and make recommendations to maximise economy, effectiveness and efficiency
5. Provide monthly financial statements to the board of director's detailing job costs, cash flow forecast and predicted income for the business
6. Give technical support to all staff, on site with manual labour

7. Day to day management of all office staff and gas engineers
8. Carry out compliance checks & audit of processes for all aspects of gas safety works
9. To deal with customer and clients complaints.
10. Manage the recruitment, performance management and development of quality staff to ensure required skilled staff are available to fulfil contracts.
11. Identify and developing new leads which will expand the business to attract future works from other Local Authorities or private sector
12. To work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Wort Act 1974.
13. Any other duties commensurate with the nature and grade of the job role.
14. Manage and monitor the KPI performance
15. Ensure productivity is at optimum levels to ensure service delivery and profitability
Qualifications Gas Safety registered E 1,4 Relevant A.C.S accreditation CCN1, CPA1, CEN1, E 1,4 WAT1, HTR1, CKR1
