Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Plumber to join their team, to be based in Salford.

The Plumber's responsibilities, in support of the Estates Managers, consist of carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and installation work to plumbing systems including pipework, water tanks and various sanitary fixtures and fittings, remedial roof repairs and various equipment items as managed by the Estates Department without constant task supervision.

Many of the repairs will need to be attended to urgently and some aspects of the work can be unpleasant and hazardous. The post holder will be expected to partake in a on-call system to ensure responsive and effective repairs to systems affecting the end user. The post holder's duties are expected to liaise closely with other trade groups, contractors, staff and end users, service providers and manufactures in order to ensure that the client receives the highest standard of service efficiently & effectively.

About you:

  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Plumbing and Domestic Heating
  • 3 Years post apprenticeship experience
  • Experience within a health-care environment desirable
