Job description

I am currently looking for a Senior Area Surveyor for my client based in Lewisham!

Your role is to:

  • Provide expert technical and management support to the Building Control Manager.
  • Provide daily operational control for officers engaged in site based issues.
  • Monitor any contractors/consultants working for the Council.
  • Provide technical support at chartered Engineer level for officers carrying out site inspection.
  • Ensure the provision of a top quality service.
  • Promote and market the service in the most effective way possible.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to comply with competencies required to carry out Building Control duties laid out in the Building Act ( 1984 ) and associated legislation.
  • Qualified to assess construction schemes at Chartered Engineer level.
  • Budgets and financial systems
  • Management and management techniques
  • Use of I.T. systems
