Job description

My client is a leading global provider of full-service integrated facilities management and corporate real estate outsourcing solutions for corporate occupier and investor clients around the world.
They are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer having a hard services background and the range of duties to be undertaken.
The principal duties will be in assisting the Southern Cluster Manager in the maintenance of all the Utilities, Services, and Mechanical elements of the Contract. The individual will be technically experienced and have a good working knowledge of the operation, maintenance and installation of M&E plant and systems to a level that will enable their effective operation.
You will have:
- Relevant City & Guilds in the inspection, testing and commissioning of installations or equivalent qualification or have been a registered apprentice or equivalent is essential.

- Two years practical training in mechanical installation and maintenance work.

- A wide range of practical and commercial experience in the operation and maintenance of M&E systems.

- Be a highly motivated individual with energy and drive.

- He will have good planning ability, experience with contract documentation, and an analytical, approach to problems and should be conversant with the technologies involved on site.

- Must have experience of operation and maintenance of plant, equipment and ancillary items.

- Be fully conversant with Planned Preventative Maintenance and Statutory Inspection Regimes.

- A self-motivated individual determined to achieve success in set corporate and personal objectives.

- Passion for quality in Mechanical Maintenance and Projects.

- Be fully conversant with Planned Preventative Maintenance and Statutory Inspection Regimes.

- Must demonstrate adequate technical knowledge in order to work on their own proficiently and carry out mechanical installation work without immediate supervision in the most efficient and economical manner.

- Must be able to set out jobs from drawings and specifications and requisition the necessary installation materials be able to accept responsibility for the proper completion of jobs and, if required, supervise other operatives.

Ability to assess and fully understand briefing and prioritisation process
- The individual must be a good communicator, have experience of managing sub-contractors and consultants, can make decisions and control a number of concurrent delegated tasks.

- To be polite, positive and helpful always.

- To visually and verbally recognize the client in a pleasant manner.

- Good, logical decision-making skills

- Good personal time management with prioritising skills needed to ensure delivery of service.
- A steady and self-reliant individual, able to perform as part of a team, and good at making friendly relationships with colleagues and client at all levels.

- Individual who is able to cope with pressure from different user departments.

- To demonstrate a willing and positive manner and to lead by example at all times to colleagues and sub-contractor staff.

- To communicate effectively with all team members and participate in all contract activities.

- Must be practical and productive in support of the company aims, goals, projects, and behaviours and have excellent mechanical engineering skills.

- Individual is quick to understand the Task or project requirement.

- A basic understanding of CDM regulations is desirable.

- FLT License and MEWP License are desirable.

- A basic understanding of lifting and slinging is desirable.
