Senior Gas Servicing and Compliance Officer required for busy Local Authority.
The Gas services officer will be responsible for leading on gas compliance across the council's housing assets ensuring it complies with all statutory regulations, approved Codes of Practice (ACOP), official guidance standards and best practice.
You will ensure that the performance management system is followed to ensure effective compliance is achieved.
You'll audit gas works carried out by the in house team and contractors to ensure that both Gas quality and compliance standards throughout the Council are maintained in accordance with current regulations, best practice, Gas Safe rules
relating to registration and technical standards are maintained.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of the in-house gas team.
Will manage the in-house team installation of boilers, central heating systems etc.
Maintain Gas Safe registration and promote Gas Safety best practice
Carry out the management of installations and capital works carried out by the in-house team and work that is contracted out.
Main Duties
* To manage the gas services team across all housing assets.
* To be the responsible person for the delivery of the council's gas services statutory compliance function, ensuring the service and work is fully compliant.
* To manage the council's approach to gas compliance and H&S risk, ensuring that monitoring and reporting systems are followed to capture, monitor and mitigate against risk.
* To lead on planning scheduling and delivery of the gas servicing programme and repairs in accordance with The Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1988 and associated British Standards.
* To manage the day to day gas service for all housing assets, monitoring measures and escalating performance issues or compensation events to the Mechanical and Electrical Manager.
Knowledge and Experience
least 5 years' post qualification experience and related training in gas servicing, inspection and compliance in both a domestic and commercial setting
Experience of delivering other housing property operations or compliance, desirable
3 years experience of managing staff including performance
Experience of budget both revenue and capital management
Qualifications and Professional Memberships
Gas ACS Competency - CCN1, CPA1, MET1, MET2, CENWAT, CKR 1, HTR 1,
£19.11 PAYE OR £23.81 Umbrella rate.
Hours Per Week : 37.00
Length of Contract 3 to 4 months.
