About the Role:
My client, a globally recognised leader in Building Services, is seeking a seasoned Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their flagship London office. Renowned for delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-performance building systems across the globe, they offer a unique opportunity for an experienced professional ready to lead, inspire, and shape landmark projects that influence cityscapes and improve lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of electrical design delivery across major projects from concept through to completion.
* Oversee and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver fully integrated engineering solutions.
* Drive innovation in electrical design, championing sustainability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
* Act as the primary technical authority, ensuring all work meets regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
* Mentor, guide, and review the work of engineers across all levels, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
* Represent the company in key client meetings, project reviews, and industry forums.

Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Chartered status preferred).
* Extensive experience delivering electrical design within the Building Services sector, ideally across a variety of large-scale commercial or mixed-use developments.
* Deep knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and low-carbon technologies.
* Proficiency in leading design tools such as Amtech, Dialux, and Revit MEP.
* Strong client-facing, leadership, and communication skills.
* A passion for mentoring and advancing engineering excellence within a team.
