Exciting Opportunity with a Leading Engineering Firm - Open to South African Talent Looking to Relocate
We are thrilled to have partnered with a leading Engineering consultancy to recruit an Associate/Mechanical Technical Lead for their Dublin office. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead an established team and further strengthen technical capabilities across Europe while working on high-profile projects.
As a Technical Lead and Manager, you will oversee the delivery of projects across multiple sectors, including Data Centres, Commercial Office, Hotel & Residential, Retail, and Laboratory projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and review mechanical system designs across various projects.
* Provide guidance and technical leadership to mechanical engineers.
* Conduct peer reviews of designs and mechanical system specifications.
* Lead and enhance the technical capabilities of the mechanical team.
* Represent the company externally in project and technical meetings.
* Prepare and deliver presentations on emerging technologies and their applications.
* Ensure adherence to quality systems and maintain high standards on all projects.
* Support business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities and assisting in bids and project interviews.
Who We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent
qualifications in a related field).
* Chartered Engineer status and relevant industry accreditations.
* Minimum 7 years' experience in mechanical building services design (ideally 10+
years).
* Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, standards, and codes (including
BCO).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate
across disciplines and interact with external clients.
* Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
* Strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
* Expertise in mechanical systems design, with a problem-solving and innovative
mindset.
* Familiarity with all design stages, from concept through detailed design and
construction administration.
* A general understanding of related engineering disciplines, including electrical, public
health, and fire protection, is highly desirable.
