Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with 2-5 years of experience, looking to grow your career within a design-focused, sustainability-driven consultancy?

We're working with a highly respected multidisciplinary engineering practice based in London, known for its close collaboration with leading Architects and inventive use of low-carbon materials. They work across a range of beautifully crafted projects in the residential, commercial, education, and cultural sectors-often recognised for their architectural and engineering excellence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a creative, forward-thinking team where your ideas are welcomed, and your development is supported. You'll be involved in the full project lifecycle and have the chance to gradually step into more senior responsibilities as you grow.

What you'll be doing:

Contributing to electrical designs across a diverse portfolio of building projects

Supporting delivery across all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion

Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders

Attending site visits and supporting project delivery

Collaborating closely with architects and other engineers in a highly integrated design process

What they're looking for:

2-5 years' experience in electrical building services design

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field

Experience using Amtech and Dialux

Familiarity with UK building regulations and design standards

Strong communication and teamworking abilities

Interest in sustainable, low-carbon design approaches

Our client is a specialist in real estate management or large commercial and residential buildings. They have an in-house team of designers and technicians and are looking to add to this with a new team member that has a background in architecture as well as exposure to working on mechanical and electrical detailing too. Typical work/projects will relate to using autocad to draw up plans/sections/elevations and also piping and layouts. There's a mix of building types with most of the work focusing on modifications to existing buildings. Significant experience of working to UK building regulations will be required for this.

The Role

General Responsibilities

Manage feasibility studies and ensure robust design strategies

Serve as the primary contact for clients and oversee delivery against KPIs

Business Development

Support the growth of business opportunities across the region

Strengthen client relationships through outstanding service and solutions

Represent the team's technical expertise and capabilities to prospective clients

Management

Mentor and line manage junior engineering staff

Ensure contracts or letters of intent are in place prior to project initiation

Oversee project workload, resource allocation and staffing plans

Lead team meetings covering quality, health & safety, training and resource updates

Embed key practices around digital design, sustainability, smart systems and modern methods of construction (MMC)
