Job Opportunity: Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)
Location: London | Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote
Sector: Data Centres & Mission Critical Projects
I've just met with a well-established, boutique consultancy that's been operating since 1988. With a tight-knit team of around 25 professionals, this consultancy has built a strong reputation in the Building Services industry-particularly within the data centre and mission critical space.
When speaking with the Director, it was clear that the team culture is a major reason why people stay long-term. They pride themselves on hiring high-calibre individuals and fostering a flexible, supportive work environment-ideal for professionals with young families. There's no micromanagement here engineers are trusted to manage their own time and workload.
What they're looking for:
Due to an increase in repeat business (to the point where they've recently had to turn work away), they're now looking to bring on a strong Intermediate or fresh Senior Mechanical Engineer to support project delivery.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in Building Services (Mechanical design).
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience in data centres is a plus, but not essential-attitude and aptitude matter more.
* A proactive mindset and strong communication skills.
* Willingness to get involved in site work and develop into a client-facing role (support and mentoring provided).
What you'll get:
* Exposure to high-profile data centre and mission critical projects, including some based in the Middle East.
* A flexible hybrid working model (3 days in-office, 2 from home-with some flexibility depending on your circumstances).
* A collaborative, non-hierarchical team environment where your growth and development will be supported.
If you're looking for a place where you'll be trusted, supported, and exposed to complex engineering projects, this could be a great step in your career.
Interested? Let's have a chat!
