An established AJ100 Architectural Studio offering consulting, design, delivery, management and construction services have a newly formed position within their Architectural team for a Technologist, or Architect Technical strengths.
They are a friendly, enthusiastic and highly collaborative Design & Delivery practice who specialise in a variety of sectors. With a high profile portfolio of projects are complex and sustainable; usually in the UK with the occasional overseas exception.
With an in-house technical, design, and construction team who collaborate it allows the practice to independently take projects from start through to completion.
This is a great opportunity for someone with specialist experience looking to progress and become an integral part of an expanding team, you will get the chance to help develop a business whilst gaining more responsibilities to progress within the architectural department. You will work alongside an expert BIM team, sharing technical insights to support a variety of Commercial, Infrastructure and Technology projects across RIBA stages.
Your technical expertise will be crucial in delivering exceptional results, and your architectural experience will be valued over specific software knowledge.
The Role :
Will be working on across RIBA stages, with a key focus on actively supporting the BIM Manager with technical work.
Working in Revit. Producing technical and construction details.
Assisting the Architectural and BIM teams with Revit and BIM based project tasks, coordination.
Opportunity to take ownership and act as a lead on projects.
Ideal Experience & Skills :
Qualified Architect or Technologist with 5+ years of professional experience working in the UK, and practical industry experience with Revit + BIMExcellent technical skills with demonstrable experience in highly serviced, complex projectStrong understanding of planning and building control requirementsAbility and flexibility to work across multiple projects to achieve set deadlinesDemonstrable hands-on experience of the required softwareFriendly and conscientious, with strong spoken and written communication skillsEssential software - Revit + BIM awarness
Desirable software - Navisworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, 3D Studio or similar

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a capable Architectural Technician to join their technical team. This is a role for someone with a methodical approach, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of building systems and construction processes.
The Role:
You will be part of a collaborative technical team, delivering detailed packages and coordinating complex elements across commercial schemes. The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of allocated workstreams and deliver high-quality information to tight project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Production of coordinated, detailed technical drawings using Revit (essential) and AutoCAD
Involvement in multiple commercial projects across RIBA Stages 3-5, with a particular focus on technical design and construction
Liaising with consultants, contractors and wider teams to resolve technical issues and coordinate information
Ensuring all output is accurate, buildable, and aligned with UK building regulations and standards
Delivering packages on time and to a high standard, with clear, proactive communication throughout
Requirements:
Degree or recognised qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related field
1-3 years professional experience in an architectural practice, ideally on commercial or large-scale projects
Advanced Revit skills are essential proficiency in AutoCAD is also required
Familiarity with the RIBA Plan of Work, particularly Stages 3-5 (technical design through to delivery)
Strong eye for detail and a structured, problem-solving approach to tasks
Confident communicator with good organisational and time management skills

Interesting opportunity for an architectural technician to work as part of a team working on the regeneration of a major UK government site.
The work relates to the long-term undertaking of the refurbishment and new build of a large-scale life science facility in Surrey. Covering a wide range of building types, you will join the consultancy leading the delivery of this program of works, taking survey data and producing architectural drawings (in autocad) and supporting filing systems for subsequent use by the larger architectural team. Previous experience of such duties is essential as is good knowledge of UK building regulations and an ability to work independently and accurately, whilst also being part of a broader team. As the projects progress so too may the need to be able to work in revit, so previous professional experience of using the software will be useful.
