We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Intermediate Public Health Design Engineer to join a reputable multidisciplinary consultancy. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, contributing to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Role Overview
As an Intermediate Public Health Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering efficient public health systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and specification of public health systems, including water services, drainage, and sustainable solutions.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
* Participate in client meetings and site inspections.
* Mentor and support junior team members.
Candidate Profile
* Bachelors degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in public health engineering design within a consultancy environment.
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
* Strong understanding of building regulations and public health codes.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

I'm working with a well-regarded multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Public Health Engineer to join their established building services team. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of high-quality projects across the commercial, residential, healthcare, and education sectors.
Please note: This role is based in the office 5 days a week - ideal for candidates who value team collaboration and being closely involved in project delivery.
The Role
You will be responsible for the design and delivery of innovative and sustainable public health systems. The role also includes project coordination, client liaison, and mentoring junior staff members.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead designs of water services, drainage, SuDS, and rainwater harvesting systems
* Ensure technical compliance with UK regulations and sustainability best practices
* Work closely with internal MEP and multidisciplinary teams
* Attend client meetings, provide technical support, and conduct site inspections
* Review and produce detailed design documentation and reports
* Guide and support junior engineers and technicians
What You'll Need
* Degree in Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline
* 5+ years' experience in public health engineering within a consultancy
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and public health design tools
* Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and public health codes
* Chartership or working towards it (CIBSE, IEng, or equivalent)
* Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience
