We're working with several leading Building Services consultancies that are looking to appoint experienced Associate Mechanical Engineers to join their remote teams. Based in South Africa, these fully remote roles offer a fantastic opportunity to lead multidisciplinary UK-based projects while working from home.

This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware mechanical engineer who is ready to step into a senior leadership role and contribute strategically to project delivery, client relationships, and team development.

What You'll Typically Be Involved In:
Leading the design and coordination of mechanical systems (HVAC, ventilation, public health) on high-value commercial, residential, healthcare, and mixed-use developments in the UK

Providing technical oversight across projects, ensuring compliance with UK building codes and sustainability targets

Managing and mentoring a remote team of engineers and technicians

Overseeing project delivery from concept through to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline targets are met

Building and maintaining strong client relationships, contributing to business development and proposals

Collaborating closely with electrical, structural, and architectural teams to deliver integrated solutions

Key Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in mechanical building services design, with significant UK project exposure

Strong leadership experience, including managing teams and delivering multiple projects simultaneously

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit familiarity with IES VE, Hevacomp, or similar tools is advantageous

In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, CIBSE standards, and low-carbon design strategies

Excellent communication, project management, and client-facing skills
