An industry leading honest, reliable and innovative Luxury Refurbishment Fit Out Contractor who are renowned for delivering super luxury and bespoke Fit out and refurbishment projects are on the market seeking multiple Construction Managers to join their team due to securing the next phase on one of the most iconic luxury hotels in the world.

They are fully committed to providing innovative solutions to meet their clients needs, they work closely with their clients and other stake holders when delivering Super high end refurbishment projects.

They are looking for a Construction Manager with a stable track record from a high end background, ideally with experience refurbishing luxury hotels to join their delivery team on this iconic project.

THE ROLE:

The successful Construction Manager will be reporting to the project lead on the delivery and handover of super high end luxury suites in a live hotel. You will provide much needed support to the team whilst developing your own skills and experience as part of your career progression.

This is a major project over £100m being released in multiple phases including suite refurbishment , roof extension, development of presidential suites amongst other elements including restaurants, bars etc Duties will include but not be limited to:-Plan and organise the works drive the team

  • Read drawings, push programme , on site pushing the contractors to achieve deadlines
  • Manage site set-up ensuring Standards are met and maintained
  • Maintain a professional and productive working relationship with sub-contractor management and operatives and notify Line Manager regarding any issues
  • Develop, monitor and control the strategic and detailed construction programming for the project
  • Attend all project meetings and action items identified within the minutes as necessary
  • Contribute to the production of Progress Reports
  • Manage the RFI, CVI, Information Required, and Technical submittal processes and procedures for the project
  • Continually review and manage sub-contractor resources at a suitable level to meet the demands of the project
  • Carry out daily snagging inspection walk rounds, snagging sheets issued weekly by each sub-contractor at weekly coordination meeting.
  • Hold regular sub-contractor coordination meetings on a weekly basis
  • Work with the team to deliver Defect Free in its entirety on all projects
  • Carry out a regular review of agreed prelims expenditure
  • Issue corrective action notices as necessary to maintain subcontractor performance and on site standards and notify the Commercial Manager of any potential contra-charges.
  • Take responsibility for site level health, safety and environmental management in accordance with the approved processes and procedures.

Candidate

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the personal qualities, values and attitudes which are so important to the business and to the role, you will be aspirational go getter looking to develop your career, this is a challenging project which requires dedication and commitment and you will be rewarded for your efforts. Skills and experience required include:-

  • Experience working on super prime , luxury high end projects is essential
  • Ideally someone with hotel refurbishment experience would be preferred
  • Your personal strengths must include leadership, team motivation, the ability to control priorities, listening skills and evident commitment to your career with a keen interest in the development of yourself and others
  • You must possess the ability to adapt your behaviours to suit those around you and using tact and diplomacy as required
  • You will have a determined, passionate attitude, coupled with good interpersonal skills that enable you to build sustainable relationships internally, externally and at all levels
  • You must possess a passion for the task and be able to demonstrate good organisational and administrative ability
  • You must be proactive at all times as well as being able to handle multiple activities and work in a fast paced environment, often under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • You must be able to work efficiently and independently, demonstrating initiative, flexibility and adaptability whilst being on hand to provide supervision and support to your colleagues
  • You will also be a strong team player, whilst showing individuality within this ethos
  • Your personal strengths must include a strong personality, excellent organisational and interpersonal communication skills and a determined and passionate attitude
