Are you a seasoned Power Systems Engineer with expertise in advanced EMT studies? Join a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, driving progress in data centres, renewable energy, and cutting-edge BESS substation projects that align with net-zero goals.

About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Engineer to play a key role in high-voltage power systems projects, focusing on EMT analysis and substation design from 33kV to 400kV. You'll collaborate across disciplines, mentor junior team members, and deliver innovative, integrated solutions while ensuring compliance with UK DNO/TSO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform critical studies: load flow, short circuit, dynamic modelling, and EMT analysis (e.g., insulation coordination, lightning protection).
  • Lead compliance studies, including voltage fluctuation (P28), harmonics (G5/5), and reactive power (G99).
  • Deliver technical solutions: cable sizing, earthing design, and protection coordination.
  • Prepare and review detailed reports, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-disciplinary teams to meet project objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership in EMT studies and mentor junior engineers.

Your Expertise:

  • Must-Have: Electrical Engineering degree, Chartered status (or near completion), EMT modelling expertise (PSCAD, ATP-EMTP).
  • Nice-to-Have: Experience with PowerFactory, Python scripting, and National Grid/DNO projects.
