Are you in search of a busy yet fulfilling role? Look no further! We're thrilled to offer an exciting fixed term maternity position for our client based in Egham, Surrey who are looking to appoint a Commercial Manager for the 9 months ongoing, at the Salary range of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum p/a

Job responsibilities

The focus currently has been around supply chain and logistics management, so it will be crucial for someone to have this experience.

The commercial operations manager's ultimate responsibility is to ensure that company's commercial operations runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving,
attention to detail, and strong communication skills to facilitate effective project management and
customer satisfaction.


Commercial Manager acts as the key liaison between the sales team, operations, and suppliers, ensuring smooth operations, timely deliveries, and high-quality service. She is responsible for assisting with proposals, managing the logistics and documentation for shipments and managing suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development & Sales Support:
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and customise proposals for potential clients.
  • Support strategic bids by developing relationships with relevant stakeholders and attend key client meetings when requested.
  • Participate, co-ordinate and where applicable, lead business development focus groups and ad-hoc meetings for the setting of sales strategies to achieve a targeted opportunity.
  • Support the sales funnel by preparing weekly updates on client progress, sales targets, and product feedback.

Supplier & Vendor Management:

  • Support company procurement activities.
  • Manage supplier qualification process.
  • Manage initial communications with suppliers and vendors, ensuring that proposals, pricing, and timelines align with company goals.
  • Assist with the preparation of supplier agreements and negotiate terms as needed.

Project Management:

  • Oversee and coordinate internal projects, including office moves and supplier engagements.
  • Ensure all logistics are handled in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines.

Commercial Ops Manager JD

Logistics Coordination & Shipment Management:

  • Manage the logistics of supplier shipments, ensuring the timely delivery of products to clients.
  • Prepare and verify all necessary documentation for shipments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations for all company projects globally.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer enquiries or issues related to product delivery, invoicing, and shipments.

Invoicing & Financial Coordination:

  • Support the finance department with supplier and customer PRs & POs in a timely and accurate manner.

Marketing & Promotional Support:

  • Coordinate the supply and distribution of marketing materials to support the sales and customer service teams.
  • Assist with organising promotional events or campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Liaise with the external marketing agency to ensure effective marketing operations


Additional Duties

  • Support EVP Commercial and Operations with other relevant tasks QHSE
  • Eliminate or minimise your own exposure to risks by regularly reviewing the quality, health and safety risks, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all organisation activities.
  • Manage your own and your team's compliance with quality, health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.
  • Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, taking appropriate corrective and preventative action as necessary and suggesting and implementing improvement activities.
