Job description

Large local authority in the Cambridgeshire are are currently looking for a Asset Development Officer to join there Environmental services department.


To support the planning, management and development of high quality public realm assets, including parks, open spaces, river moorings, and associated facilities, balancing the requirement to manage assets sustainably, meet the needs of the community and maximise financial returns to the Council.
Develop, implement and review public realm management plans.

Let and manage external contracts and associated consultancy activities in accordance with agreed specification and procurement policy procedure.

To be the lead contact for the management of events and activities on parks and open space, encouraging new business, issuing permissions and licences and for checking conformation with licence terms and conditions.

To manage the river moorings on parks and open space, using approved policy, acting as a point of contact for moorings licence holders, and stakeholders.

Support managers in the day-to-day operational management of Streets and Open Spaces, as a high performing, value for money, customer focused frontline service.

Administer and support the efficient and effective use of corporate and operational management systems to drive continuous service improvement.

Provide specialist project support throughout the investigation, approvals, design, consultation and implementation stages of a range of projects.

Administer and support the management of the Council's public realm assets, including residential moorings, allotments and events.
