Case Studies

Rail Project
Our client is responsible for design and delivery of a high-profile 90km stretch of rail in the West Midlands. Locally, a huge percentage of environmental talent has been absorbed by the wider project, meaning an already shallow talent pool is very sparsely populated. Eden Brown was approached to not only fulfill vacant roles, but also the facilitate transitioning from a contractor-based environmental specialist workforce to one that is directly-employed, in order to improve cost and control and delivery.

Environmental Design
We’ve worked with a cutting-edge environmental design consultancy for over 10 years, evolving into a Tier 1 supplier. Recruiting across a wide range of specialist roles, including mechanical, electrical, public health and infrastructure engineers, acoustic and sustainability consultants, BREEAM assessors and building physicists, our service to fits around our client’s economic needs peak and off-peak project cycles, in job-short and candidate short markets. As a trusted partner, we now support this client on all of Temporary, fixed and permanent staff.

London and Riyadh Studios
Our client, a delivery-focused architectural practice with studios in London and Riyadh, primarily serves a major player in retail real estate. Their highly dynamic workload often requires delivering designs from concept to RIBA Stage 4 on tight, time-sensitive deadlines. To meet these demands, they needed to hire skilled interior designers and senior architects across two geographies under significant time pressure

Cross Industry Recruitment
Working with the largest organisation in UK Built Environment since 2011 and remain and ongoing partner of choice, we were initially selected to support Architecture and Design sectors for the brand throughout the UK. Expanding to supply Environment, Civils, Highways and Sustainability, Eden Brown is one of the lead business recruiters ‘go to’ agency to support consultants for contract and permanent roles.

Geographical Specialists
One of the world's leading engineering professional services approached us in May 2022 to help them fulfil critical roles. Their current recruitment had been compromised by a lack of geographical specialists in their supply chain and faced a shortfall in project critical resources across MEP, Civil, structural Design, Architecture and Highways specialisms. Impacting workloads tremendously, this client needed location-specific recruitment at speed in areas that were either remote or had a high demand rate on the professionals they needed to secure.

Head of Sustainability
Eden Brown was recently engaged by a leading workplace Design & Build specialist to find a new Head of Sustainability. Our depth of expertise meant we were able to help shape the brief and pull upon our experience in working with D&B contractors, but also asset managers, design consultancies, architects, and Project Managers.

Super-prime project
Tasked with delivering a turn-key solution at a super-prime project, our client approached Eden Brown after the original fit-out contractor went into administration. In a skills-short market, they needed to quickly mobilise a team to oversee design, project coordination, and on-site leadership, while delivering an exceptional level of finish and a discerning end-client renowned for their commitment to excellence

Net Zero Target
Our client looks after almost 4.5 million homes across England. Providing a truly essential service, many of these homes are aspirational in terms of design, placemaking and sustainability. However, they are older stock and under-invested following years of budgetary squeezes – but they are committed to hitting the Net Zero target of 2050. Their current housing stock must become ‘green’, and attain an EPC ‘C’ rating by 2035. This is the same story for many providers across the UK and so recruiting talent in decarbonisation is extremely challenging.
