Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager (TSM) to oversee the technical operations and service delivery for high-spec laboratory and life sciences projects. This is a senior technical role responsible for ensuring projects meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and best-in-class technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical services function, providing expert guidance on laboratory and technical fit-out projects.

Act as the key point of contact for clients and internal teams on technical matters, ensuring projects meet specification and compliance standards.

Manage technical coordination between design, procurement, and delivery teams.

Ensure technical documentation, schematics, and specifications are accurate, up-to-date, and fully implemented on site.

Support project delivery teams in resolving complex technical issues.

Maintain oversight of quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance across all projects.

Mentor and develop technical staff, ensuring knowledge transfer and high standards across the team.

Work closely with senior management to implement technical strategies aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

Proven experience in a technical services role within construction, laboratories, or life sciences environments.

Strong understanding of laboratory fit-out requirements, MEP, and regulatory standards.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

Degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline preferred.
