Rare opportunity to work both remote and part-time, to suit your own work-life balance, with a friendly BIM Consultancy that focuses on the UK architectural sector
You will work as an outsourced BIM Manager, providing valuable support to various architectural practices. The primary focus of this position is on utilizing Revit software for architecture projects, employing company templates and assets, and championing best practices in BIM.
In addition to having an architectural background, extensive expertise in working with BIM and revit, a successful candidate will need a high degree of initiative and strong interpersonal skills allowing them to support individuals with different levels of expertise and enthusiasm. You will in turn have the chance to work largely autonomously with your own clients, fixing your workload to dovetail with your other life commitments. And being outside of IR35, this work is eligible to delivered by a Limited Company if you have one,
Responsibilities:
1. Outsourced BIM Management: Act as a BIM Manager for external architectural practices, offering guidance and support in the use of Revit software, following inhouse templates and assets.
2. Promoting Best Practices: Advocate for and implement best practices in BIM processes, ensuring efficiency and high-quality project outcomes.
3. Clash Detection: Perform Clash Detection using Navisworks when necessary, addressing and resolving clashes to enhance project coordination. This is rare but is a nice to have.
Essential:
● Proficiency in Revit software and BIM processes.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Demonstrate strong attention to detail and self - checking work
● Familiarity with ISO 19650 guidance.
Degree in Architecture, architect or technician qualification.
● UK-based Required Technical Skills
● Strong familiarity with UK construction practices and regulations.
● Clash Detection using Navisworks.
● Knowledge of COBie and IFC standards

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage BIM models across multiple trades, ensuring compliance with project standards and contractual requirements.

Maintain BIM execution plans, project templates, and documentation in line with company standards.
Support site and project teams with accurate 3D model information for construction planning and delivery.

Requirements:
3-5 years experience as a BIM Coordinator within a contracting environment.
Proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination software (Navisworks, Solibri, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of BIM processes, standards, and protocols for construction projects.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with clash detection, model coordination, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Desirable:
Experience on commercial workplace fit-outs or refurbishment projects.
Understanding of ISO 19650 or similar BIM standards.
