About the Project:
We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman for a unique project within an operational manufacturing warehouse in Kettering. The role involves supervising the construction of a panelled composite 2-hour fire-rated wall, installation of structural steelwork, and some electrical and fire alarm works.
Health & Safety is a critical factor as the project is in a live operational environment. The Site Foreman will manage the site workforce, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while coordinating closely with the warehouse production team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day site activities within a live manufacturing environment
Oversee installation of fire-rated walls, structural steel, and associated electrical/fire alarm works
Ensure strict Health & Safety compliance at all times
Attend regular progress meetings with the Production Manager
Liaise with the client, subcontractors, and tradespeople to maintain smooth workflow
Maintain accurate site records and report progress to the Site Manager
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Foreman, ideally in live operational environments
Experience with structural steelwork, fire-rated partitions, and electrical/fire alarm works
Strong leadership and team management skills
Client-facing experience with excellent communication
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent Health & Safety awareness and a proactive approach

The Role
As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will take the lead on projects valued up to £300m across a wide range of sectors. You'll be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle (RIBA Stages 1-6), providing technical excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative, sustainable electrical designs. You will also lead and mentor a team of 8 engineers, developing talent while maintaining a culture of collaboration and quality. They work across a mix of projects including residential, commercial, education and mixed-use.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver electrical design on large-scale, complex projects up to £300m in value.
Act as the primary client interface, building and maintaining strong relationships.
Manage and mentor a team of 8 engineers, ensuring technical excellence and career development.
Oversee design stages from concept through to completion (RIBA 1-6).
Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and industry best practice.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in electrical design engineering within the building services sector.

The Opportunity:
As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading mechanical design on a diverse range of projects while working in joint leadership across MEP teams. You'll act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring technical excellence and seamless project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading mechanical design packages from feasibility through to detailed design and delivery.
* Supervising and mentoring junior engineers, ensuring high-quality output.
* Providing design and technical advice across multidisciplinary teams.
* Reviewing design programmes and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
* Producing and overseeing detailed performance specifications.
* Representing the business in client meetings, interpreting and delivering on project needs.
* Contributing to business growth by supporting bids and helping to win new commissions.
What My Client is Looking For:
* Proven track record delivering building services projects within a mechanical discipline.
* Experience leading both mechanical packages and overall project teams.
* Degree in Building Services Engineering (or relevant discipline) and working towards Chartership (CIBSE/CEng) - or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of UK regulations and the ability to demonstrate compliance through calculations.
* Proficiency with mechanical design software and working knowledge of RevitMEP or other 3D design platforms.
* Ability to communicate technical detail effectively, both verbally and graphically.
* A collaborative mindset with excellent client-facing skills.
Technical Expertise (Mechanical Design):
* Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
* Hot and cold-water services, boosted water, and drainage.
* Low- and zero-carbon technologies, including CHP, heat pumps, and renewables.
* Thermal modelling, energy strategies, and Part L compliance.
* Specialist systems such as medical gases, compressed air, or process cooling (desirable).
* Coordination of mechanical services with architectural and structural elements.
