Are you a Caretaker looking for interim work? Are you based or are willing to travel to East London?

My client, a well known Housing Association, are looking for a Caretaker to help cover day to day duties to a high standard.

This role forms part of their Resident Services structure and is a key function of their continuing commitment to providing a responsive customer based service for residents. You will be involved in maintaining communal areas within their blocks and on estates, carrying out communal cleaning, grounds maintenance work, carrying out small maintenance repairs, front desk duties as well as and having due regard to health & safety and security issues.

You will often be working alone and therefore need to be able to work on your own initiative and be self motivated to organise your own time effectively. You will need to be proactive in your daily activities and aware of safe working practices.

It is an essential requirement that you have a good standard of literacy and it would be desirable if you have IT skills as you will be required to use a PC at times undertaking online courses and assessments. However this can be learnt on the job during the probationary period. It is essential that you hold a full driving licence as this position is required to drive a company vehicle.

You should be capable of carrying out a variety of small repair jobs and working effectively as part of a team and under your own initiative. Trade skills, Gardening or DIY experience would be an advantage.
