Job description

Our client is a bespoke Building Surveying practice specialising in building surveying, repair and refurbishment, due to growth they are seeking an Associate / Director to head up their Manchester office. They are seeking an Associate Building Surveyor or Director to launch a permanent building surveying presence in the Manchester area. This is an excellent opportunity to rapidly progress an appropriate candidate's career. The ideal candidate will have extensive broad Building Surveying experience and will be able to demonstrate a number of profitable and loyal clients.

The Role:

- The position would be an Associate or Director appointment, depending on experience and client base. Shares within the business would be made available to the appropriate candidate after a successful period of employment, together with an attractive performance based bonus arrangement from the outset. You will be responsible for managing the regional Manchester office, depending on performance, recruitment of further professional assistance in the form of additional surveyors and/or graduates based at the regional office will be considered with time. You will be responsible for recruiting and managing those regional staff. It is anticipated that you will deliver a wide variety of projects, including defect diagnosis and repair, condition surveys, planned maintenance programmes, contract administration, project management, dilapidations and Party Walls, with assistance from staff from the HQ.

Education, Skills and Experience:

* Be educated to degree level or equivalent in Building Surveying
* Hold the minimum designation MRICS
* Be keen to become responsible for your own office and service delivery
* Demonstrate an existing loyal and profitable client base
* Demonstrate strong relationship management, client facing skills and an excellent standard of customer care and personal presentation.
