Facilities Manager - Built Environment - Birmingham

Salary £40,000 - £55,000

Eden Brown are working alongside a global FM provider, assisting them with recruiting a Facilities Manager, delivering exceptional service to a prestigious account based in Birmingham. Providing daily leadership, management and development of the agreed contract. Ensuring financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded across your building. This role reports into a Regional Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a single point of contact for your allocated buildings, managing relationships with customers, suppliers and your team to deliver the target working environment
  • Responsible for health and safety compliance onsite, including that of third party service providers and maintenance records. This includes ensuring that the account are regularly updated
  • Preparation, control and monitoring of the service agreement in accordance with the account and associated budgets
  • Regular monitoring of the key performance indicators and taking remedial action as applicable to ensure the required standards are maintained, and continuously improved for the full range of buildings and services
  • Compile and maintain all required management information/records. This includes asset register, emergency plans and all related records and management reports
  • Lead a direct team including full line management of all colleagues within your cluster, encouraging a customer focused culture
  • Further develop and maintain excellent customer/tenant relationships, ensuring that they receive the highest standards of service in relation to their operational needs, attending meetings as applicable
  • Ensure fire and other evacuations are carried out on a regular basis in accordance with health and safety requirements
  • Liaise with local authorities as appropriate
  • Proactively manage risk and deal with insurance issues relating to your cluster
  • Manage major work programmes on site, acting as the liaison point for all parties involved
  • Produce management reports in accordance with the needs of the business
  • Play a lead role in the management and control of incidents (e.g business continuity or environmental impact), owning timely and appropriate communication/escalation across customer and PFS business
  • Develop an exceptional partnership with the company and PFS colleagues to deliver and improve appropriate workplace environments collaboratively
  • Work with the procurement department to ensure compilation of external contracts
  • Work with the CFU, waste champions and yard marshalls, to comply with the company and account's waste management policy
  • Be available and on call outside normal working hours, to manage incidents and escalations across the estate

Experience Required

  • Previous facilities management experience, ideally in a customer experience role with events/hospitality experience
  • Excellent motivational and influencing skills, with high levels or personal integrity
  • Organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high pressure, business critical environments
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical delivery for client satisfaction
  • High degree and knowledge reference of Health and Safety legislation
  • Experienced client relationship manager
  • Ability to manage conflict and crisis situations effectively with diplomacy and sensitivity
  • Able to demonstrate an empowering and inspiring leadership style
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to seek out opportunities for continuous improvement and portray vision, values and passion
