What you'll be doing:
You'll play a key role in delivering innovative smart building solutions by:

Experience & Qualifications:
* A degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience (min. 3 years).
* Background in building controls, BMS, integration, or IOT, or Smart Building tech.
* Experience writing specifications, commissioning, or developing controls software.
* Ability to deliver engaging, audience-appropriate technical reports and presentations.
* Experience working in a consultancy is advantageous but not compulsory.

Skills that will help you succeed:

* Confidence in managing client relationships and translating technical ideas clearly.
* An eye for panel designs and schematics.

Partnering with a brilliant multi-disciplinary consultancy - global in reach yet boutique in feel - we're seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our clients London building services team and play a pivotal role in some of the UK's most critically important and highly classified building projects within the Defence sector.

These are projects you won't see in the news, but you'll know you've had a hand in shaping the country's future security.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work, applicants must already hold Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance or be eligible to obtain it. Eligibility typically requires you to be British-born, with both parents also British-born, and have been a resident in the UK for the past 10 years. The project in questions is in London, within the M25 and will require you to be on site 2 to 3 days a week.
You will have 2 days flexible working and will be required in our client's office (City based) every so often for technical peer and design reviews.

Your Role:
* Lead electrical design on complex, secure building projects.
* Collaborate with a talented multi-disciplinary team across mechanical, public health and specialist engineering disciplines.
* Deliver innovative, sustainable, and technically excellent solutions to exacting Defence standards.
